Trail running and Mountainfeet
 Trail running is growing in popularity as busy people strive to stay fit and spend quality time in the outdoors. We have a great interest in trail running, both as active participants and also as footwear specialists. The delight of running is that it's low cost, healthy and sociable. And it compliments so many of the mountain sports that we love. All weathers, all seasons – we can generally run even if we're grounded in other areas! And it suits competitive and non-competitive folk alike...
We have many customers who compete in the major mountain marathons such as the OMM, LAMM, Saunders and Ultratour de Mont Blanc. See our News & Articles section for two accounts of the latter race from an experienced and a first timer view point.
We stock running footwear from the highly popular Inov-8 and La Sportiva brands and are soon to add three brilliant models from Asics. We offer discount to members of local running clubs but a service that might be worth more in the long term is our knowledge of feet and footwear.

We've turned our interest in foot function into a specialist method for fitting footwear to ensure that every individual gets the fit and stability they need for their chosen sport. There is plenty of footwear and product around that addresses various foot types and their associated problems but do you know which to buy? If the answer is NO, then drop in and see us – we're happy to take a look at your feet and if necessary, perform a basic and simple gait analysis using our treadmill.
We also have a good range of running clothing and equipment in stock from The North Face, Montane, OMM, Raidlight, Ron Hill, Lowe Alpine, Science in Sport, Inov-8. We can also order in most kit you require if not in stock and have access to Salomon's excellent range of gear.
