Podiatry and our recommended local clinics
Our recommended podiatrists specialise in the diagnosis and management of foot and lower leg disorders with a particular focus on injuries associated with foot and lower limb function. They can provide walking and running assessments to investigate posture and lower limb function which might include a detailed gait analysis.

If we identify an issue that we believe may cause you a potential problem in your sport and general well being we may suggest a visit to one of our two preferred professional podiatrist colleagues:

Davenport House Podiatry Clinic
Our good friend and mentor Tony Gavin is a highly respected podiatrist with a practice in Stalybridge. In addition to working hands on at his clinic, he also lectures at the prestigious Podiatry Department at Huddersfield University and specialises in Sports Biomechanics.

His clinic has recently been equipped with a state of the art gait analysis facility and we'd suggest that anyone who is serious about their sport should invest in a functional assessment of their feet and lower limbs.

Tennant Podiatry
Run by father and son, Bob and Paul Tennant, the clinic offers treatment for all manner of foot ailments along with expert knowledge of biomechanical function of the feet and lower limbs.

Since our move to Marsden, we are also in the process of developing links with two podiatry clinics on the Huddersfield side of the Pennines and can also offer details of Huddersfield University's great value podiatry service where appointments are held by qualified podiatrists with students from the department in attendance for learning purposes.

Mountainfeet supply a range of robust and supportive shoes for everyday outdoor use which are especially wide and highly suitable for podiatric patients who have fairly high volume orthotics and need extra room around their forefoot to allow proper function.
