Easy parking at the former B&Q car park
(less than 100 metres - see map below)

Our advice when it comes to visiting the shop is to park in the privately run car park previously owned by B & Q, which charges 70p for one hour or £2.50 all day. Here, if circumstances delay you and you arrive back after your ticket runs out, at most you'll just be asked to pay the difference, rather than immediately getting a £30 fine on a council space! Chances are you won't get hassled at all, as the parking guys there apply commonsense rules – a lesson that Oldham Council have yet to learn! (See our petition details).

If you shop after around 12:30 then this car park is FREE!

For those customers who are disabled, there are two disabled parking spaces immediately outside the shop.

For full location map and details of travel to the shop click hereOldham is actually blessed with loads of parking but it is virtually ALL metered. We don't agree with the way Oldham Council aggressively targets the law abiding fraternity of shoppers by penalising them when they overrun their ticket by a couple of minutes, especially if it's been the good service we strive to provide which has caused them to stay a little longer than anticipated (see link to letters from anonymous customers).

Why not sign our petition protesting against unfair penalising of shoppers and asking for a FREE short stay solution? Maybe a scheme where money is refunded as an incentive to use the town-centre shops and amenities...

We wouldn't mind this form of revenue taking if the antisocial behaviour frequently seen in Oldham and other towns was visibly targeted. However, this doesn't seem to be the case and as a small shop in Oldham we feel pretty hard done to.
