Guided walks in the Peak District Si's mate Bob Findlow is a part time Peak Park Ranger and is co-running a great service called TRANSPEAK WALKS which is a 'not for profit' voluntary group which organises "free to the public" guided walks in the Peak District. They specialise in linear station to station walks, concentrating on the Hope Valley (Manchester - Sheffield), Buxton & Glossop railway lines.
TRANSPEAK WALKS was formed in early 2005 to take over the responsibility from the Hope Valley & High Peak Transport Partnership for running and co-ordinating the varied programme of guided walks based on the use of public transport to access the Peak District National Park.
They have a highly interesting itinary of walks ranging from an easy standard right up to some quite strenuous undertakings on high ground. There truly is something for everyone...
