Si's mate Spiny turned 40 and to celebrate, he was kidnapped on a Friday night, blindfolded and driven by Si and the girls to Heysham in the van where a ferry delivered them all to the Isle of Man for some sport.
An ex ski instructor mate, Buster, lives on the Island and with the van full of mountain biking, paragliding and windsurfing kit (plus our three collies), an awesome weekend was had by all in idyllic surroundings further helped by perfect weather.
Si's last visit to the Island was over 30 years ago (yes, he really is that old..!!) and he was impressed what a laid back, friendly and beautiful place it still is. Check out the Isle of Man website by clicking on the map opposite. If you get a chance to go over there then it's well worth it...
